Services at Temple Sinai start with the traditional services in the Gates of Prayer Prayerbook. But that’s only the beginning. From time to time our Rabbi introduces different stories and challenges that can peak your interest. Once a month a, Listen-Ask-Learn session replaces the usual sermon. Based on something in Jewish history, or what life was like back in those times or simply Jewish customs – how they started and developed. The group is usually amazed at what they did not know. Sometimes it is hard for the Rabbi to pass on all the information in the alloted time frame. During the service our singers will indulge us with some of the usual music found in our heritage and sometimes will present new and different versions of the old songs. As a rare treat, an original song written by a member of the group, will sing something brand new, which we hope to learn in the insuing weeks. At the end of the service, you have the feeling that you wish it could go on for another hour.
